The Worcestershire Partnership took the opportunity provided by the Skills on Show weekend to talk to local residents about their view of life in the County. Whilst children were engaged in painting a mural on the theme of "What Will Worcestershire be Like in 10 Years Time" the adults used “post it” notes to tell us what made them Mad, Sad or Glad about Worcestershire.

As you can see there is a lot of consistency about what makes Worcestershire people Mad, Sad and Glad.
The environment made people mad and glad; most complaints were about litter, traffic, dog mess and vandalism, yet Worcestershire’s beautiful countryside scored highest in making people glad to live here. Other big concerns were facilities and activities for children and teenagers, and unfair funding for Worcestershire’s schools.
These results reinforce findings of other consultation activities, such as the recent Citizens' Panel Survey.
