Welcome to the Democracy Section of Wyre Forest District Council’s website. These pages explain how democratic decision-making happens in Wyre Forest, and how you can get involved. Wyre Forest District Council has 42 Councillors, covering 17 wards.

How decisions are made

The Council makes decisions through a range of bodies which collectively make up its decision making structure.

The main aspects of this structure are detailed below:

Elections Services

The Council's Elections Services team carries out the following:

  • Preparing and updating the Register of Electors
  • Organising Parliamentary, European Parliamentary, County, District Parish and Town Council elections, referendum and parish polls
  • Promoting participation in the electoral process
  • Providing elections information to the public
  • Conducting boundary and parish reviews
